Tacticals stand for resilience, and the spirit of Saudi excellence.
We are the Tactical DRAG Team, a division of the Drone and Robotics Aziz Group at King Abdulaziz University. As participants in the SUAS (Student Unmanned Aerial Systems) competition, we design, build, and operate autonomous UAV systems capable of real-world mission execution.
While grounded in academia, our mindset goes far beyond the classroom. Every system we build — from our airframes to our AI logic — is developed with precision, discipline, and operational reliability in mind.
Our Vision
Our vision is to transform student-driven UAV development into a launchpad for real-world impact. Inspired by the discipline and systems thinking found in defense applications, we strive to design drones that reflect mission reliability, tactical precision, and operational flexibility.
We’re not just building for today’s challenges — we’re training our minds and systems to be ready for tomorrow’s.
Developing Talent & Building engineers
At Tactical DRAG Team, our commitment doesn’t stop at competition. We actively design and deliver hands-on training experiences across multiple domains — empowering the next generation of engineers and drone operators.
for our community
We designed and hosted the first indoor drone competition in the Kingdom — combining manual piloting with optional autonomous challenges.
The goal: create a platform that builds confidence, skill, and engineering intuition in real-world scenarios.
We are proud of our community, our supporters, and the relationships we have built over the years. Together, we grow stronger.
THE TACTICAL CREST.

We honor the values that shaped us: engineering with intent, building under pressure, and rising to meet every challenge with precision. Our roots at King Abdulaziz University ground us, but our vision extends far beyond campus.
